May’s Roses IOD Transfer – PREORDER

The May’s Roses IOD transfer is a four-page rub-on decal of a wreath of roses with vintage catalog script in the center.  The transfer is shades of gray and beautiful on any color background.  You can hand paint the roses in colors if you like.

Here’s a tutorial on applying transfers.

The steps are simple.  Your surface needs to be clean and dry.  If you’ve painted with a chalk type paint, you’ll need to seal the paint first before applying the transfer.  If you’ve painted with Fusion Mineral Paint, no top coat is needed.  Allow paint to dry for 24 hours.  Carefully place your transfer where you want it and secure with painter’s tape.  Use the applicator tool included to rub the design until it transfers to the piece.  Once all of the image has transfered, remove the carrier sheet.  Use a piece of carrier sheet to rub over the transfer and burnish the edges down.  Finish by sealing the transfer.  You can use wax or a water based top coat like General Finishes High Performance Top Coat.
