June IOD Transfer
June IOD transfer is a nod to Henry Fletcher and finds its roots in the “Twelve Months of the Year in Flowers.” A catalog of still-lifes that was the result of the collaboration of three leading figures in their respective fields in England in the first half of the eighteenth century: the artist Pieter Casteels, the engraver Henry Fletcher, and the nurseryman Robert Furber. This transfer represents the month of June, with an arrangement of flowers in a vase. It evokes a feeling of motion with its fountain-style arrangement of florals. The variety of the blossoms were selected for the particular month and are all cataloged in handwritten script at the bottom. The luscious candy-striped peony (so hard to grow!) is mixed with common wildflowers like sweet pea and bachelor button. The playful, chubby-cheeked cherubs on the urn perfectly complete the arrangement!
Gridlines are printed on the transfer backing. This unique feather to IOD transfers allows you to confidently position the image exactly where you want it on your project. The IOD transfer backing can also be used to burnish the transfer after application to ensure full adhesion. The four piece design is easy to assemble as the uneven edges allow for much more forgiveness than a straight edge.
The transfer set is four pages, 12″ x 16″, and includes free instructions and a transfer tool.
