Highlander

Fusion Mineral Paint’s Highlander is a deep, powerful scarlet red.  It is inspired by Fusion CEO Jennylyn Pringle’s family tartan which was worn through the low and highlands of Scotland. Highlander is as timeless as Scotland herself.

Available in two sizes:  Testers allow you to test a color in your own light or paint a small project.  Pints cover 75 sf which can be 2-3 average pieces of furniture.

Get the best finish with a Staalmeester brush.  The synthetic round brush is my favorite.

Painting with Fusion is simple and gets great results.

1. Clean and degrease with Fusion’s TSP
2. Most surfaces just need a quick scuff sand to prep for paint.  You can read all about prep here
3. Paint!  Here are my top tips for a brushstroke-free finish.

Top coat is optional.  However, for dark colors like Highlander we recommend using either Natural Stain and Finishing Oil, Gloss Tough Coat, or one of our furniture waxes since dark, matte colors tend to show fingerprints.

This color would make a beautiful base for the Buffalo Check stencil.
